Most computer users have more than one copy of a file without even knowing. This simple Windows program is able to scan all the files stored on the hard disk and quickly display all the duplicates. But what makes Detwinner different from other similar applications is the possibility to analyze duplicate photos, even if they don't have the same name, format or file size.

After installing Detwinner, the user just needs to select the desired folders for scanning for duplicates. For best results, one should select the entire partition. After making this, the user can choose what files should be checked for duplicates. By default, the program is set to look for any file type. After making all these settings, one can start the scanning process. At the end of it, all the duplicate files will be clearly displayed, together with some additional information regarding them, like the file type, size and modification date. Using a single click, the user can delete each duplicate file, thus saving a lot of hard disk space.

Besides looking for certain duplicate files, Detwinner can also analyze an image using a certain algorithm and can display its duplicate, even if it's not the same format or file size. The level of detection can be adjusted from the program's settings. A lower level will mean generating more results which may not be so accurate. Besides choosing the detection level, the user can also configure some other settings, like ignoring system files or files created or modified after a certain date.
